We've made it!

Well, here we are one day after Josh's 40 something birthday and let the blogging begin!

We've been supplying Melbourne with the best organic produce we can find four days a week for almost four years now. Does that officially mean we've made it? It definitely feels like it some days and then on other days it definitely doesn't! We have though beaten the odds of survival with a whopping 90% of new businesses not making it to their first birthday. Still... there's always plenty more to do, which is why I'm finding myself here today. Another addition to Organic Origins to increase our multi media presence (words to live by apparently if you want a successful online business). So here we go.

Firstly I would like to say we haven't made it this far really due to our super high tech knowledge and presence anywhere in particular. It seems to have really come from our commitment to our niche within the niche market of organics. So already in a super small pool of organics, think Lake Eildon and then think Pacific Ocean. We decided that within our lake (buyer pool) there would be people like us who were over second rate produce in the name of organics. So we made a decision right at the start - if we were shopping and we wouldn't buy it for our families (and we are both complete fusspots) then we wouldn't sell it either. That's our take on one of the reasons we've made it this far. Our customers trust our integrity to supply only the best and freshest organic fruit and veg available.  This of course has meant lots of foraging! But as luck would have it, that came quite naturally. Josh with his years of experience and connections in the industry and me with a black belt in shopping!

Of course, without awesome customers there would be no Organic Origins & for some reason we just seem to get the most wonderful people. Thanks to everyone who's been with us so far :)

Here's a pic one of our customers took last week after unpacking her goodies at home. Nice!

Our goal is that one day,
Organic food won't be the 'alternative'.
It will be readily available, affordable to all & people wont want any other alternative!
Every purchase of organics made brings all of us closer to this goal.
Closer to health for ourselves & the environment.
